President Ram Nath Kovind to Visit Rourkela on March 21

Bhubaneswar: The President of India, Ram Nath Kovind will visit Rourkela on March 21, informed Sundargarh MP and senior BJP leader, Jual Oram. During his one-day visit to Rourkela, Kovind is scheduled to attend the 18th convocation ceremony of National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela.

Later in the day, Kovind will inaugurate the Super Speciality Hospital built in the campus of Ispat General Hospital (IGH).The event will be attended by the Odisha Governor Professor Ganeshi Lal and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.“However, the official itinerary is yet to come. I wholeheartedly welcome the President,” said the Sundargarh MPadding that the programmes will be observed in a subdued manner due to the ongoing pandemic situation.

Kovind would stay at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on the same night. On March 22, he is likely to visit the Sun  Temple at Konark. This is the first time that Kovind will visit Konark after assuming office of the highest constitutional post in the country. In a related development, Kovind will visit Uttar Pradesh from March 13 to 15. The President will reach Varanasi in the afternoon of March 13.

On March 14, Kovind will visit Chapki in Sonbhadra district where he will grace the Vanvasi Samagam and inaugurate  he newly constructed building of Seva Kunj Ashram. On the final day, Kovind will grace the inaugural session of Jagran Forum on issues of Ganga, Environment and the culture of India, being organized by a hindi daily newspaper in Varanasi.
