PM to review Covid situation in North East with CMs on Tuesday

New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with the Chief Ministers of North Eastern States on Covid 19 situation via video conference at 1100 hrs on July 13.

He will be speaking to the Chief Ministers of Assam, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Manipur, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram and will take stock of the situation as many districts of these states have shown rising trends these days.

Some of the districts in the North Eastern states have reported increase of 10 percent in Covid cases, an official said.

PM Modi has been regularly reviewing coronavirus situation and health facilities.

On July 9, he had reviewed the status of setting up of oxygen plants and directed the concerned officials to start 1500 PSA Oxygen plants funded by PM Care Fund and Public Sector Units at the earliest.

The Prime Minister also directed the officials to deploy advance technology such as Internet of Things (IoT) to track performance and functioning of oxygen plants at local and national level.
