Paralakhemundi : A rare gesture by Khajuripada CHC Public Health Extension Officer Mamata Padhi,of Nuagada block to help those old persons for vaccinations.She has a record of charity during her career besides her professional engagements.
Since long days for above 45 years vaccinations & now for 18-44 age group started. Despite all still those destitutes at an old age home named Ashra of Paralakhemundi are deprived.Nobody thought about them despite critical pandemic of corona.So she stood at their support at last. She requested to CDMO Gajapati,Dr.Pradip Kumar Patra to vaccinate those left group. Accordingly she arranged to bring them at district head quarter hospital.On Sabitri Amabashya holiday she shown herself as a samaritan for them.
On her contribution she brought those old persons from their shelter home & arranged vaccinations at DHH. After completion of vaccinations she arranged to send them back to their shelter. Where their children aloof to desert those old persons at Ashra, where they kindle their love & affections with management of Ashra team with all fooding & boarding.
Padhi’s good gestures blessed by those old persons who hardly felt tired. Even one of them quipped said,”God had sent an angel for our remedial measure during pandemic situations”.
