New medical colleges in 16 districts of UP: PM to inaugurate 9 colleges

Lucknow : With its commitment to set up at least one medical college in each of the 75 districts in Uttar Pradesh , chief minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the officials to prepare projects for new medical colleges in 16 districts , where they do not exist at present.

Chief minister on Thursday directed that Medical colleges will be set up on PPP model in these 16 districts.

” Government policy in this regard should be prepared and presented without delay,” Yogi Adityanath instructed.

He said the state government is committed to establish at least one medical college each in all 75 districts. ” With continuous planned efforts, at least one medical college is becoming functional in 59 districts of the state, ” CM said .

Meanwhile , Prime minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate nine new medical colleges being established in Mirzapur, Ghazipur, Deoria, Etah, Fatehpur, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Siddharth Nagar and Jaunpur districts this month.

All necessary preparations in this regard should be completed in time, CM ordered.
