Fuel prices up again; Petrol retails at Rs 100.81/litre in Delhi; diesel at Rs 89.88

New Delhi : After remaining unchanged for a day, fuel prices again witnessed a hike on Saturday with petrol and diesel costing Rs 100.81/ litre and Rs 89.88 per litre respectively in the National Capital.

This has been the seventh hike this month and the 39th since May 4.

According to state-run Indian Oil Corporation website, in Delhi, petrol price was raised by 35 paise to cost 100.81 Rs per litre, while diesel price was increased by 26 paise to be sold at Rs 89.88 per litre, an all-time high.

Petrol prices in Delhi was increased by Rs 8.41 in May and June. So far in this month, petrol rate has been increased by Rs 2.10 and diesel by 72 paise/litre.

In Mumbai, petrol price was raised by 34 paise to cost 106.59 Rs per litre, while diesel price was hiked by 28 paise to Rs 97.46 per litre.

In Kolkata, petrol reached Rs 101.01 per litre while diesel being sold at Rs 92.97 per litre.

In Chennai, cost of petrol was hiked by 30 paise to Rs 101.67 per litre, while that of diesel was increased by 24 paise to 94.39 Rs per litre.

Petrol-diesel prices are reviewed daily and changes are implemented, if any, with effect from 0600 hrs every day.
