Bhubaneswar : A new health scheme christened as “Mukhya Mantri Bayu swasthya seva” ( Chief Minister Air health service ) to provide best medicare to the people of four remote and tribal dominated districts was launched in Odisha .
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik flagged off the first flight to Malakangiri at Biju Patnaik International Airport here under the scheme.
The aircraft carrying a team of specialist doctors flew to Malkangiri to provide best medicare to the poor people of the area.
The scheme will be implemented in remote districts of Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Nuapada and Kalahandi where super specialty health care facilities are not available for the patients.
As per the scheme efficient and renowned doctors including cardiologists, Neurologists, Nephrologists of various medical colleges and corporate hospitals would visit hospitals in these four districts by plane and would treat patients requiring super speciality care.
The entire expenses will be borne by the state government.
Launching the service, Mr.Patnaik hoped that the poor people of these four districts would get better health services.
