New Delhi: Health and Family Welfare Minister Harsh Vardhan told Rajya Sabha on Tuesday that the pace of vaccination in the country has not been slow and till Tuesday morning four crore 85 lakh people have been vaccinated.
Responding to a question during the Question Hour, Dr Harsh Vardhan said that out of four crore 85 lakhs, over two crore people of age group of 60 have been vaccinated.
He also said that several efforts have been made to remove the apprehensions among people against Corona vaccine, which is also bringing better results.
“There is no shortage of corona vaccine, sufficient vaccine is being provided to each state. Corona vaccine is being installed in 50 thousand government and private hospitals across the country”, the Minister said, adding that the Ministry of Health has been in constant touch with the Chief Secretaries and Health Secretaries of the states and any problem in this regard to the vaccine is promptly addressed.
